Airport Musings and Inventory

March 19, 2013

Weather aside, we made it to Logan with time to spare. Right now kids are getting dinners and stretching their legs before we board for Amsterdam. All is well.

The most exciting news is that all the packed bags of supplies made it! We checked 11 bags loaded to the 50 lb limit. Here is a quick inventory of the supplies we are bringing over:

solar panels for a micro-finance program
beads for the micro-finance
fleece jackets
laminator
laminator sheets
science, French, and chapter books
crayons
pencils
notebooks
bubbles and bubble wands (I could not resist!)
sidewalk chalk
cleats and shin guards
sports bras
a hand made quilt
mini DVD player
soccer balls
solar lanterns
hats for Tumanini
legos!
and some Trader Joe snacks for Elizabeth, our wonderful contact at the school

We hope we are teaching the students that collecting supplies for any cause is pretty easy and the impact is quite tremendous.

Onto the plane in a bit!
