a word of advice:

October 14, 2011

Okay, I lied. It’s not really advice. It’s more like… things I’ve learned in my time at Gould that I wish to share with you.

1. Know everyone.

If you don’t meet everyone that attends Gould, at least know everyone in your class. Friends and close friends can come from unexpected places, and you never know the kind of people you’re gonna meet.
2. Take time to relax.

Seriously, it sounds so cliche but it’s SO important. Gould is always busy, so don’t get caught up in everything that’s going on. Just go listen to music, sit in Isabella’s, find your happy place. For me? I nap in the DSL.

3. Do something new and scary, often.

Maybe it’s trying a new sport or taking a very challenging class or maybe it’s trying out for the musical, whatever you do, just “broaden your horizons.” In the beginning of my second real year at Gould, I have already found myself doing some pretty terrifying things. Last spring, I played lacrosse for the first time ever. I can’t say I loved it, but at least I can say I tried. I think the next item to be tackled is skate team. I might be glogging from the hospital next spring, but hey, it’s worth a shot right?
So that’s all from me today
