A Wonderful Last Day in Beijing!

March 18, 2015

Our last full day in Beijing was another busy one!  The first part of the day allowed students to have a choice between a walk through the hutong and the National Museum. Those who went to the hutong enjoyed meandering through different areas trying lots of interesting food such as dragon fruit, assorted baked goods, and crepes. The museum had a nice selection of art and history. We then had a little free time walking along Nanlouguxiang St. where everyone had a chance to buy souvenirs and snacks. Luckily everyone worked up an appetite for another delicious noodle lunch. After lunch half the group visited the Confucian Temple/ Imperial College and the other half visited the Lama Temple. These were all enlightening and culturally enriching, but the activity that got the most attention was the Pearl Market. This is where the students bought lots of wonderful things for you! Here are some photos to get more of a sense of the day. Tomorrow we will all be off to our home stay cities. We will next be in touch from there!
