A Much Needed Break
So, I’m writing to you all while on our fall break… a break that was much needed. I think we all need these next few days to rest after the past week which was incredibly stressful, and was the marking period for midterms. I can’t believe the fall is already half over, and my junior year is almost a third of the way done! I remember sitting in my room the first night of freshman year, talking to my roommate about how soon we’ll be in our junior and senior years asking ourselves, “where has the time gone?” and I know I’m definitely asking myself that right now. But anyways, it feels so good to be home. Right now I’m sitting in my comfy bed (way better than the one in my dorm room) with my two favorite men: Ben and Jerry, and I’d just like to say it feels great.
So this past weekend, before break started, was parent’s weekend, so the size of our school at least doubled because of all the family that showed up. On Saturday morning, we took our parents to each of our classes so they could see what we do with all our time at GA. It was a fun time, and there were really great meals that were served… they seem to do this when people outside of gould show up on campus… just kidding Mr. Scheidegger! Gould food is wayyyyy better than some high schools.
Also during the weekend there were a lot of sporting events going on. Field Hockey was finally able to play their first game on Friday, which we won 6-1 against Kents Hill. The team wasn’t able to play any games so far during the year because of a lack of players… however I decided to quit physical conditioning and join the team, even though I had never held a field hockey stick up until about a week ago. But, thank god all my friends on the team are really patient, cause they took the time to help transform me into a pretty OK player by Friday in time for our game. We have another game next saturday, and we’re gonna KILL KENTS HILL.
So, I hope you all have a great break, and see you in a few days!
