A lot of snow
We’re now deep into February and even deeper into snow! I have never seen so much snow, I believe that it has snowed all day, every single day for the last week. The snow banks are probably ten-twelve feet tall, and I haven’t seen the sun clearly in days. The skiers are all excited, the snowboarders too, the basketball players are indifferent in their indoor courts, and lacrosse players like myself are depressed at what looks like is going to be a late starting season, but hopefully it will all melt sooner than I think. It’s crazy to think that we have only two weeks left of school before March break. I think teachers have started to realize this and started to up the work load as our month off of school approaches.
One of the highlights of this past week was the Winter production which I watched this past Thursday. It starred six great actors, all who did a really good job. The play A Happy Event, was very funny, intriguing and well performed. From Reed “the Sprinter” Molbak’s loud ranting to Austin “Texas” Lombard’s impersonation of a partying Greek, everyone did a great job.
This weekend was parents weekend, so I made sure to play the game where you look at a pair of parents and try to guess who their child is, Tom “Bro” Duggan’s mother was a dead giveaway! The highlight of Parent’s weekend in the winter is the Auction, where the gifts being auctioned are almost as crazy as the prices people pay for them! One of the craziest moments was when the donation of Red Sox Tickets in the glass box by part owner of the Sox Les “The Man” Otten. Two sets of the tickets went for $5,700 each. I believe that Les also bought the Headmaster for a day offer, which should prove to be an . . . interesting day.
Well, that’s all I’ve got for this week, but tune in next week!
