A Four Skatepark Road Trip

October 29, 2011

I took a handful of students on a one day skate trip. We skated the Bethel park on the way out of town. Then, I unlocked the Oxford Hills park to skate. I didn’t realize it had been closed indefinitely until the graffiti artist who painted over student work turned himself in. That was a quick conversation and out. Next, we hit the Lewiston park. The photos that follow are of Evan Boches and were taken by James Abbott. Lewiston is a great park and Sam Batterson is a great skatepark builder. We ended up in Portland which was chill and chilly. We ran into Matt who totally rips that place up. All-in-all it was a great day.Evan Boches, front crail, by James Abbott

Punishment was not even skating a park I love and helped build. Oh well, it’s open again and now it’s winter. Do you ever come up to ride Sunday River? If you do, reach out to me and we’ll skate.

    Dave,

If you could drop a mention when you hear Oxford Hills is open, I’d appreciate it!

    Thanks for the update.
