The snowplows are out tonight in Bethel, Maine and the town is gorgeous. Holiday lights and fresh snow are a perfect combination. The “winter weather advisory” is no longer in effect, but we do have a few inches out there. Apparently the next couple days will be windy and cold- just like winter!
We’re fresh back from an expedition to visit family for Christmas. Now that we have 2 kids, the biggest change seems to be felt in our car. I appreciate the safety of modern car seats and wouldn’t trade it for anything, but by the time we put 2 car seats in our Toyota Matrix and our 120# dog Cisco in the back, we’re full! I wonder how long we’ll hold out before looking for a bigger car. I’m a little stubborn and think we don’t need one. Just don’t ask us for a ride, unless you can hold on to the roof rack!
After 3 days with my family, including my parents, my sister and her family, and my brother and his wife, we’re now joined in Bethel by Pete’s family. Reiley is the luckiest boy around because he gets to have Christmas twice- and he gets to open all of his sister’s presents!
Speaking of his sister, 2 1/2 week old Osie is sleeping, and I feel compelled to do the same.
Hope all are enjoying the holidays. Only 3 days until New Year’s eve!
