Happy Holidays!

Break is approaching fast! This Friday will be the Yulefest, the annual winter concert. The concert always begins with Santa reading “The Night Before Christmas” to some of the faculty kids. Most of the kids love the reading and crowd around Santa waiting for candycanes, but there is usually one little kid who gets scared.

Many different musical groups will share their talents that they have been perfecting all year. Along with the band and chorus, several soloists and smaller ensembles will perform. One of the favorites is the faculty band who can be expected to play something funny. I’m playing the flute in several trios, quartets and ensembles. You can look foward to a spectacular concert and great music!

Here are some pictures from last year’s concert found on Gould’s flickr website

This weekend a few members of the nordic team are traveling to Stowe, VT of the first Eastern Cup competition of the year. We will race against skiers from all over New England. Wish the athletes good luck.

Have a fantastic break and happy holidays!
