Today, we wake up with Barack Obama as the new presdient of the United States. On Monday, the Gould community got involved with current politics and held a mock presidential election where Obama won as well. I thought it was a great way for us to express our opinions even if we were too young to vote.
A week ago the cross country running team made a great performance at the MAISADs race in Augusta. There were three heats in the race- Mens’ Varsity, Womens’ Varsity and Mens’ JV. Gould women and JV men returned victorius, and mens varsity in second place! It was an exciting day with many team members setting personal records.
Marco P., Jacob K., and Jeb C. Henry G.
The last race of the season will be New Englands. Many teams from all over the region will travel to Conneticut for one huge, crazy, and fun race. Wish the runners good luck!

The Start of the Womens Race
Hopefully, today some members of the nordic ski team and I will be able get on snow! We are planning on hiking up to the snow on Sunday River which was open over the weekend. The first ski of the year is always very exciting and fun, promising a great season to come!
Until next week,
