#tbt Girl’s Soccer

November 14, 2013

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Sorry for the brevity of this update, but exam week has kept all of us here busy.

Speaking of exams… 2 down and 5 to go!

The administration surprised us at assembly earlier today, announcing the entire school will travel down to Berwick Academy on Saturday to watch the Woman’s Varsity Soccer team match up against Southfield School, from Brookline, Massachusetts in the NEPSAC semifinals.  It should be an amazing game.  Gould is currently ranked the 3rd seed, with Southfield ranked 7th.   The exam schedule has been rearranged to accommodate so, rather unfortunately,  no missed exams for us.   This is apparently the first time the team has ever even been selected for the NEPSAC tournament.  The last time the school did this was back in 2009 when the entire school was bussed over to Augusta for the Men’s Class D basketball tournament.  Although the basketball team lost back in 2009, hopefully the girls team will pull out ahead on Saturday.  Rumor is on campus is that if the girls win on Saturday and play in the finals on Sunday, the exams will be cancelled for the rest of the week!  Good luck to the girls this Saturday!

I the spirit of #tbt, or throw back Thursday, for some of the technology illiterate, I dug up the clip of the girls soccer team from back in 2008.  It is truly amazing haw far they have come as a program!

Until next week,

Aiden
