Finally, the long awaited spring warm up has arrived…or so it seems! We woke up today to a cloud of fog, some gentle rain drops, and a weather forecast predicting temperatures close to 60! Nothing takes away the snow like a combination of fog, rain and warmth! Hopefully its not a trick though! My roommate and I read weather.com like its our job, and according to those guys, the temperatures aren’t supposed to drop below freezing, even at night, for the next 10 days! Maybe we will be able to play tennis outside yet!
This week has been pretty eventful, from getting back into classes, going to tennis practice and registering for SAT’s, ACT’s and college counseling visits! It seems like the year is coming to an end so fast, and that senior year is just around the corner! I can’t believe that it’s already time for me to be even thinking about taking SAT’s let alone actually registering myself for them!
Tennis has been going very well. We have a lot of new talent on the team, and there seems to be a growing interest for the sport, which is awesome! I can’t wait for the snow to melt so that the new courts can be finished and hopefully we will have them to play on for the end of the year! Our new coach, Ms. Masters, has introduced alot of new techniques to us, such as new ways to warm up. We do a lot of yoga and pilates type exercises and really focus on balance, core and breathing. It has been very interesting and fun to learn and do.
Until next week, lets hope this warm weather continues and spring comes fast!
