Skiing Success

February 15, 2016

We wrapped up the Eastern Cup series last weekend (Feb. 5-6) with some fantastic racing at Craftsbury in Vermont. And, this weekend we had the Flying Moose at Pinehill as well as Middle School States. Izzy and Chaia both had awesome races this past Saturday and on Wednesday of this week, Izzy came in first in the classical 3k on Saturday. Furthermore, Andrew and Marcus have qualified for Junior Nationals in Cable, Wisconsin.

As a team we are recovering from a busy January, skiing lots, and getting ready for NEPSACs in two weeks. One of the best skis that we have had this week was on Wednesday when we went to Roberts Farm in Norway. These trails are mostly up and the mostly down, similar to Pinehill. It was nice to ski somewhere else and enjoy the long downhills that the trail system has to offer.

To add to a list of success this season Andrew won the Flying Moose with Marcus and Caleb skiing into the top five. Livy won her age group, Mia got second, and Lilo got third! Brad won his age groups as well! I hope to post again after NEPSACs because I will be gone for most of next week! Keep checking the twitter feed and I will see you in two weeks!

Happy Skiing,

Mia
