1/3 of the way there!
Today is the last day of our glogtastic Thanksgiving break! Tomorrow we embark on part 2 of 3 for this school year. (Or, for all us seniors, part 11 of 12 for our time at Gould…) And we’ve all officially made it through the fall one way or another.
So while everyone was home stocking up on homemade food, giving thanks, watching netflix and sleeping, my family and I have a different way of de-stressing. We traveled first to New York and then to Massachusetts to race bikes in the snow, mud, and cold these past two weekends. No this isn’t your normal bike racing as you may have already guessed, but rather a weird, super fun and intense version of mountain biking and road cycling mixed together. A mile or so long course, and 40-50 minutes of racing with barriers and run ups are what make up the sport: Cyclocross. I thought I’d share a little of my crazy passion with you folks as we gear up to start the winter term.
Here’s a recap of my Saturday race this past weekend. I ride for bikeman.com in a gray, black kit. Ps At 3:50 you get to see me crash…
Sunday ended up being my best finish ever and Donnie won his first Category 4/5 race on Saturday.
À la prochaine!
