Gould Academy Legacy Award
Learning and living at Gould Academy has been a treasured tradition since 1836. Generations of alumni have benefited from the enriching experience of our dynamic community. We at Gould Academy are excited to announce the Legacy Award. These $10,000 boarding and $5,000 day student awards are established to benefit children and grandchildren of Gould alumni who qualify for enrollment during the 201516 school year.
Why Gould Academy?
Gould Academy is a place where students actively participate in shaping their education by taking advantage of opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. The result is a cocreated, individualized educational experience with active mentoring through multimodal learning, including experiential learning and international travel programs like Gould Academy’s:
- Four Point Program
- Manhattan School of Music Distance Program
- IDEAS Center where students collaborate, design, and build to put their ideas into action.
At Gould, students are both supported and challenged as they discover and foster their own interests in a creative and disciplined manner.
Located in Bethel, Maine, Gould students have the advantages of living in a lively New England village with access to Sunday River Resort. With structured athletic on-snow programs, avenues for recreation, and opportunities to appreciate the natural world, Sunday River is an important learning venue for all students. In an environment that values both individuality and community, Gould students develop the confidence, selfdirection, and capacity for global thinking that equips them for purposeful lives of active citizenship and selfdefined success in our world.
