Update About Gould's Grade 8 Program
Gould Academy’s full-year Grade 8 program will end on June 1, 2024.
The origin of the full-year Grade 8 program is closely tied to Gould's winter term program and dates back to the fall of 2019. During this time, a group of parents, whose children were enrolled at Gould, expressed a desire to extend the winter term to a full year for their younger siblings.
In response to this request, as well as changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the needs of employee families seeking similar support, the full-year program was added to the winter term program with a one-room schoolhouse model. The program grew during the following years as Gould hired dedicated staff members, and allocated specific space, eventually reaching enrollment of 18 students in the 23-24 school year.
Although the full-year program is no longer being offered, Gould Academy is still offering the signature winter term program: an opportunity for alpine, freestyle, and snowboarding athletes entering 7th and 8th grades to get the best academics and training, all in one place.
