Small size, global proportions.

The world is our oyster—on campus, in our community, abroad, or in our natural environment.

“We develop the whole person by exploring the whole world.”

It is part of our mission statement, but what does it mean? At Gould, global citizenship means traveling abroad and immersing yourself in the culture. It means getting to know the kid down the hall who is from somewhere you’ve never been. It means celebrating the Moon Festival together as a community. It means winter camping in the mountains of western Maine for eight days. It means honing your other language. It means thinking globally by acting locally.

No matter where they are from, Gould students have a better understanding of the world and their place within it when they graduate.
