Hit the slopes; hit the books.

This exclusive program is for the eighth grade student-athlete looking to get a jump on the competition in alpine, freestyle, or snowboarding.

Winter Term students get a head start learning to balance daily on-snow training with a strong prep school academic program.

The program runs from the weekend following Thanksgiving until the end of competitions in March.

On the Mountain

  • Train on snow six days a week.
  • Work with a full-time, dedicated coaching staff focused on improvement and a love of the sport.
  • Compete in local and regional competitions.

On Campus

  • Work hard in a rigorous eighth grade curriculum in math, language study, the sciences, and the humanities.
  • Live on campus in the Winter Term devoted dormitory, Vogt House.
  • Participate in Gould traditions and community life from formal dinners to assembly to Winter Carnival.

Gould Academy’s Competition Center is slope-side at Sunday River Ski Resort, six miles from the Gould campus.
