Classic technique & skate technique. Classic learning & free thinking.
Gould has a long rich history of developing Nordic skiers by focusing on the long-term goals of the student-athlete through technique work and year round training.
Bethel and the surrounding western mountains of Maine are a haven for Nordic skiers. Gould boasts a 40km on-campus trail system with access to an additional 500km of some of the best skiing in the east only an hour away.
Gould skiers follow the NENSA Eastern Cup Circuit and compete in the J2 Festival, Junior Nationals, in college and beyond.
Year round training is tailored to the individual student-athlete and includes their off season sport of choice like cross-country running, road cycling or mountain biking, supplemented with other physical conditioning like roller skiing and strength training.
