The Coaching Staff
For all programs, a commitment to learning is assured by coaches who are experts in both applied training science and adolescent development. Coaches for the Competition Program have worked at all levels, from grassroots to World Cup, ensuring a challenging, supportive and rewarding experience for each student-athlete.
Facilities
Our student-athletes benefit from an exceptional setting for training and competition. One of New England’s premier ski areas, Sunday River Ski Resort, is located just six miles from campus and is consistently the first mountain to open in the East, offering terrain as early as October.
Located slopeside at Sunday River, Gould’s Kailey Competition Center houses ski-tuning facilities, video analysis rooms, and serves as the headquarters for Gould’s Competition Program.
Gould’s Nordic program trains on 40 kilometers of groomed, race-quality cross-country trails, accessed directly from campus. Great Glenn, Black Mountain, the Balsams and Bretton Woods are also only a short drive away.
Year-Round Conditioning
During the summer, student-athletes receive an extensive conditioning manual and are encouraged to participate in our summer camp programs, including conditioning, trampoline, jump and on-snow camps.
In the fall our student-athletes have the opportunity to take part in an intense conditioning program or pursue their competitive desires in any number of varsity sports including soccer, field hockey, cross-country running and mountain biking.
