B.A. Bates College
Founder, Maggie Taylor, LLC
Bethel, ME
Maggie Shaner Furneaux first became a member of the Gould community at the age of 15 when she moved from Norway, Maine to be a boarding student and competitive Nordic Skier at Gould.  She then went on to compete for Bates’ Nordic team while earning a degree in Psychology.

Upon graduating from Bates, Maggie moved to the Boston area and founded her own boutique, Maggie Taylor, LLC.  After starting a family Maggie sold her business to be home with her children.  She transferred her passion and work ethic into volunteering in her community and schools.  She also has a long history of coaching youth sports.

After coming up to Maine in the summer months with her family, she soon realized she was being pulled back to her roots and moved full-time to Bethel with her husband and two children (Reese ‘25 and Jack ‘26) to begin their own experience back in the Gould community and ski racing programs. Maggie brings to the board a rich background as a Mainer, Gould alumna and avid outdoors woman and looks forward to promoting the culture and authenticity of the Gould experience.
